It's no secret
that Aftermath Entertainment's most anticipated album will come from
Dr. Dre. However, the buzz has been building for a different artist on
the Aftermath roster, as well. Bishop Lamont has been hitting the lab,
along with Dre, in preparation for his album The Reformation.
According
to statements from Aftermath representatives via Lamont's official
MySpace page, the album will be released before Detox.
Reports
also indicate that Bishop will soon be joined in the lab by none other
than Chris Martin. The Coldplay lead singer also appeared on Jay-Z's
most recent effort Kingdome Come. Few guest stars have been confirmed
as of press time, but the statement also indicates that 50 Cent and
Eminem also have studio sessions planned.
Production from the
album is slated to be provided by a slew of well known beatsmiths.
Names of possible producers include Dr. Dre, RZA, DJ Premier, Pete Rock
and Scott Storch among others.
The Reformation is slated to drop this Summer and Detox is expected to follow it up in the Fall.
